Valuence Japan Inc. (Tokyo; Shinsuke Sakimoto, representative) held a 5th ALLU AUCTION on July 21 for general consumers. The auction dealt mainly in rare and valuable timepieces.<\/p>\n
Leveraging Valuence Group expertise in auction management, Valuence has launched a luxury timepiece auction house for the general public, ALLU AUCTION. The company held a fifth auction on July 21 at VALON BY VALUENCE, an art lounge for premium Valuence customers.<\/p>\n
Auction attendance, including live participation, online, telephone, etc., rose 110% compared with last year’s event, marking an all-time high. Inbound demand in Japan continues to increase with the weak yen. Some auction attendees traveled from as far as China and the U.S. to bid personally on timepieces. Many were repeat attendees, several of whom had successful bids at the previous and most-recent auctions. Customers chatted enthusiastically with each other about watches at the venue, enabling ALLU AUCTION to become a place to build communities and provide new value.<\/p>\n
The following is a partial list of the successful bids received at the 5th Auction. The final hammer of this fifth annual auction concluded a very successful event with 87% successful bids. The highlight of the auction was the Richard Mille RM 30, a masterpiece undergoing four years of development and featuring a declutchable rotor, a movement that disconnects from the winding barrel automatically when the spring is fully wound, thereby reducing stress on the movement.<\/p>\n
