Valuence Receives SBT Validation for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Targets: Short-Term Targets for Fiscal 2030 and Long-Term and Net-Zero Targets for Fiscal 2050

Valuence Holdings Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Shinsuke Sakimoto, representative director and president) has announced that its greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been recognized as meeting the criteria established by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)*1 and have received Science Based Targets (SBT)*2 validation.

The Valuence Group regards addressing climate change as a key management priority and has pursued initiatives to calculate, disclose, and reduce GHG emissions associated with the group’s business activities. In September 2022, Valuence submitted a letter of commitment to the SBTi, working toward establishing science-based GHG emission reduction targets.

As part of this SBT validation, the company established near- and long-term reduction targets based on the fiscal year ended August 2024. The ultimate target of the company is to achieve net-zero GHG emissions*3 across the entire value chain by 2050. Valuence has disclosed specific targets as follows.

Going forward, Valuence will continue to pursue initiatives aimed at monitoring, reducing, and properly disclosing progress related to GHG emissions, contributing to the creation of a decarbonized society.
