Aiming for Societies That Avoid Waste and Excessive Production

i’m green is a purchase and pickup consultation service operated by Isetan Mitsukoshi. The new service, launched October 2020 at the flagship Mitsukoshi store in Nihonbashi, is designed to create a future for unused belongings. Since launch, i’m green has been sending treasured items lying dormant in customer homes, as well as items still usable but not thrown out, to places where they can be used to create a new future. Valuence Japan operates more than 100 locations throughout Japan specializing in the purchase of luxury brand goods, antiques, and fine arts through Nanboya and other businesses. The company identifies strongly with the efforts of the i’m green project. Together, Valuence Japan and Isetan Mitsukoshi have supported the appraisal and purchase of items to create societies that avoid waste and excessive production.

More than 2,000 customers have used the service over the almost 12 months since the launch of i’m green at the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi flagship store. On October 1, 2021, Isetan Mitsukoshi will launch i’m green at the Isetan Shinjuku store. The number of stores offering the service in person has been expanded, making it even more convenient for customers.

Valuence Japan will continue to provide support for appraisal and purchase services at both the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi flagship store and the Isetan Shinjuku store, aiming to promote the creation of recycling-oriented societies.
